The 1023 Magazine is Open to Submissions from All High School Writers (Years 9-13)

The 1023 Magazine is a student-run journal that will publish an issue every other term, with the first issue available to the public in Term 2. You can sbmit your work at any point to be considered for the next edition. The best time to submit is when you believe your work is polished and ready. The editorial team will review all entries and respond within three weeks after the submission deadline.

The deadlines for each issue is the last week of either Term 1 or Term 3 .

      -  Poetry: You can submit up to 4 poems.

      -  Prose: You can submit up to 2 pieces, each with a word count between 500 and 1000 words. 
        This can include short stories, creative non-fiction, personal essays, or any other creative writing you wish to share.

To submit, please email your work to the1023magazine@gmail.com with "Submission for The 1023" in the subject line. In the email body, include your full name, year level, tutor class, and a short bio (no more than three sentences).

Please attach your work as a single Google Doc or PDF file, using your name for the file name. Do not paste your writing directly into the email body.

The copyright for all works published in The 1023 Magazine remains with the original author.
